Hannah Zachry

typographer • hotkey hoarder • cat mama • efficient as fuck • logofile

I went to the University of Central Oklahoma to become a teacher, but I graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Photography. I learned how to strategically solve problems and to translate those solutions into visual forms. I unlearned old habits and formed lifelong friendships. I learned the importance of an open mind, social equity, accessibility and continual education.

I began my career as a freelance Designer in 2016 in the usual way, taking every job I could, serving tables on the weekend and living in my parent's basement. I've worn a lot of different hats - web designer, UI / UX designer, editorial designer, task manager, graphic designer, photographer, copywriter, interior decorator, motion graphics artist, corporate trainer and art director.

I currently wear the hat of Vice President of Operations at Flight in OKC. I make things happen on time, within budget and I promote positivity as often as I can. I thrive in a fast pace environment, creatively solving problems. Don't hesitate to reach out - I'm always open to hearing new opinions, trying new things and working with new people!

How it's made

First, we talk.

Why do you do what you do?
Before we jump into creating anything, it's important that we talk about your business goals. The more detail, the better!

What do you need?
We'll talk about your specific needs and potential ways to accomplish your goals. We'll talk about your audience and start to define the design strategy, aka, the method to the madness.

Next, I sketch.

This step is actually kind of broad. The sketching I do really depends on what we're working on - branding, a website, a custom invitation... Sometimes these are done by hand, other times these are digital sketches.

I'll share these with you and together, we'll refine the work until it's done using the design strategy as our guide. These can include moodboards, competitor and audience analysis, trend forecasting, archetypes, story or narrative goals, brand values, and the design or visual translations of each.

Last, we talk.

And, you get the thing I made.
I try to make sure my clients have everything they need to be successful in the future - even if they're not working with me.
